Scottish Episcopal Church, Carnoustie

"Bringing People and God Together"

Welcome to Our Website

A warm welcome to the Church of the Holy Rood, Carnoustie.

Part of the Scottish Episcopal Church and located within the Diocese of Brechin, the Church of the Holy Rood is located in Maule Street, Carnoustie. We aim to be “a living and open sign of God’s unconditional love” and welcome you to share our journey of faith, in a space which encourages the spiritual growth of each individual, and the wider community, through worship, fellowship, care and service. Some in our community have recently started attending Holy Rood, while others have been members all their lives.

We have strong ecumenical links with the Church of Scotland parish churches in Carnoustie and Panbride, along with the Baptist, Catholic and Erskine United Free Church in the town.  At key points during the year we share joint worship services, youth activities and civic events to share in our joint Christian witness.

We would be delighted to have a conversation with you about a wedding or baptism or support you through a bereavement or funeral. You can find more about Life Events and our regular services on our worship page.

Follow us on Facebook to receive information on upcoming activities and events.

Finding Us:

Carnoustie is situated on the beautiful Angus coastline, about 13 miles from Dundee along the A92. It is an hour’s drive from the ski slopes and the beautiful Angus Glens, two and a half hours drive from the fabulous Cairngorm National Park with its skiing, walking and climbing opportunities.

The seaside location of Carnoustie, with its beautiful sandy bay, has made it a popular tourist destination, helped in no small way by the establishment of the prestigious Carnoustie Golf Links.
